Preparing to Move into the prophetic...

When God commisions us to do something, he always present a specific strategy to take the territory for him and accomplish beforehand. But in order for us to rise up as a prophetic youth movement, we need to increase in three areas which i believe will prepare us for this move of God in the heavens and the earth.

I believe that we are to-

Be dynamic in our worship-

in Psalm 100, it gives us hints why we need to make our worship lifestyle increase and how to develop it. we are to worship GOD with a positive attitude (v. 1 & 2)in our hearts and minds, it prepares the way to come into him. we think of all the good things he has done for us and will do in our situation and future. another thing is that, we draw near to him because we know Him as He is and for WHO HE IS (v. 3)

When we worship GOD we enter into the kingdom gate and into the courts of the KING of KINGS of all the heavens and the earth (v. 4), and with that opportunity we are to rejoice, be glad, offer thanksgiving and praise to the one who gave us this opportunity.

Lastly,we respond to his goodness to us, for his love through the cross, his faithfullness to accept us time and time again, for who HE is past, present and future in our lives (v.5).

Prophesy to the heavenlies -

As much as God gives Prophets to tell us of his end time events (Amos 3:7), to prophesy is to strengthen, encourage and comfort the body of Christ. This work is to edify the body of believers and come to unite us all for the cause of Jesus Christ's end time harvest work(1 Cor. 14: 3-4).

The main reason why we should prophesy to the heavenlies is because it prepares the spiritual realm to release what has been spoken. Another thing is that, it is for us believers to unite us and equip us...and for the unbelievers- to convict sin and produce repentance. (1 Cor. 14:24)

As being raised as a prophetic movement, we should be eager to prophesy (in speaking and in works)(1 Cor. 14:39).

Be instructed and motivated to do signs and wonders -

Jesus has declared it to be. That we will do greater works than what he has done here when he was here on earth! And that's a great motivation for us. we are imperfect yes, but we have been given authority to trample down snakes and scorpions, release captives free and heal the sick...we are given authority and power to bring forth life in the name of Jesus. And if we obey this command, we are as Solomon has said- wise and be successful(Ecc. 8:5)

It also gives us a clear and pure motive of doing things...(Luke 4:18-19)that it is because the Lord Jesus Christ has started this work, we are to follow the works of the one who sent us into this world. And like Isiah, the Prophet, we have been given a mandate (Is. 61:1-12) to set captives free, preach the good news and release salvation and freedom to the people who are in darkness!

If we are eager and motivated to obey these things, we are giving a good testimony of WHO GOD IS- an ever living, all powerful and knowledgeable GOD who is in tract with our lives and has given us the ambassadorial task to represent him in this earth (John 17:25-26)!!!
