It's 2014 and its definitely a new year to behold. Like last year, I'd like to pen what I believe God is sharing to me for the year up ahead. But before that, I'd like to share my status for 2014:
"We can never rewrite our past but we can pen a better future…"
If 2013 became a year of great challenges, let 2014 be a year to behold God's promises. Let us experience amazing things with our walk with Him. For apart from him, we are nothing.
Let us choose wisely how we move from this season; it will define how our future will be. But in all these things, let us always learn from our past and pave in the New Year with a better perspective of things and of things to come.
The Holy Spirit has impressed to me a lot of things that I often think if it's really important to share all things at once or do I need to post it fragment by fragment.
Indeed, what I can only say is that God is making all things new for this year – and that includes this blog ministry that I have. Before 2013 came to a close, I've been reflecting on two things that God was impressing for quite some time. These are the phrases "extravagant favor" and "a season of great rewards".
A Year Of Extravagant Favor
Psalms 84:9 "Look on our shield, O God; look with favor on your anointed one." (NIV)
Our father in heaven will always look on us with favor. And if we desire and honor the Lord's will, He will give favor in our personal walk with him.
To be honest about it, I always believe that every year is a year of the Lord's great favor but there is something about 2014 that will bring in to light God's favor for his children.
I strongly believe that this year is filled with exciting opportunities to minister to people, to train others and bring other young ministers to a new season. It's also a year wherein we get to see God move in signs and wonders as we minister prophetically to others. This new move of God will differentiate His people from those false ministries and old wine skins.
This season is also a season of unfolding and revelation, to many who have been called by the Lord and were hidden away for this great day. It's a year of the "faceless and unnamed witnesses" of what Hebrews 11 has promised.
A Season of Great Rewards
1 Corinthians 3:8 "He who plants and he who waters are one and each will receive his wages according to his labor."
I believe God will also bring his servants into a season of great rewards – wherein we see God's miraculous provision for the ministers of the gospel, for the past spoke of sacrifice but the future beholds the testimony of provision and gifts. The year will also unfold great rewards of rest, recuperation and healing for those who are in need of it.
Many will also see the fruit of their toils for the gospel; they'll also see opportunities open up because of sacrifices done in the past. It's a time of reaping, of overflow and of harvest.
The heritage of the Lord will always be good, pleasing and overflowing. We will see the start of the great harvest for the end time season. We will also see the beginning of greater exploits from one season to another because the Lord has provided.
Let this 2014 be our year, the year of the Forerunners to arise and take hold of what was promised. A year to make known among the nations the greater things God has stored for his people. But let this year 2014 also be a year of gathering the cubs, of tearing down the walls of mediocrity and sin; of rebuilding and building up others that they may walk in grace and mercy.
2014 will speak of opportunities to explore, of determining what track to take and which one to let go. It will be a year of harvesting to those whose labor has brought them where they are. It is also a year of greater measure – of acceleration and multiplication.
What do all these things mean?
It will not be an easy year for many of us but grace and mercy from the Lord will sustain us. This is where we differ from others who have walked astray. It will be a year wherein we see God moved mightily in our ministries and where God will vindicate, highlight and build what He has established for us.
And "signs and wonders" will follow the footsteps of those who ministers the gospel of grace. It is the year of the Lord's favor and those whose walks are blameless will carry the favor of our King and bring in the blessing of His great rewards!
Surely, this is indeed an exciting year for the Forerunners and a year to behold the Lord's favor!
Blessings!
