Is God raising up a Prophet in the Philippines?

"Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations." - Jeremiah 1:5

"Surely the Sovereign LORD does nothing without revealing his plan to his servants the prophets." - Amos 3:7

I've seen and heard a lot for the past 10 years on how God is raising up a prophetic people even in the Philippines. The proclamations of years ago is coming to fruition with a lot of churches manifesting the powerful anointing of God during worship time, impacting the hearts of men and women through His word.

But in this season wherein the Philippines are in the great move of God, I wonder if God has also raised a Prophet among the Filipinos?

A lot of prophetic voices today played a major role in unlocking the nations for the gospel and I, for one, has received a lot of revelations and has been activated to move in the prophetic through the ministries of our dear brothers and sisters in the Western world. 

But I guess it's not selfish to ask if God has risen up a Prophet among the Philippines. I long to see Filipino believers capture the vision of raising an apostolic and prophetic people for the end-time harvest. Part of the equation is people also rising up to the Office of the Five-fold Ministry specifically in the Office of the Prophets and Apostles.

These two plays an integral part to align the body of Christ in the Philippines like how Pastors, Teachers and Evangelists are doing in the land today.

Pastors are to take care of the flock, building them up and helping them grow in their faith. They have been entrusted for such a big burden for the body of believers and I love them for that!

While the Teachers are to correct, rebuke, train and equip the believers for ministry, they are equalizers of the four other ministry gifts giving biblical and theological balance. 

I strongly believe that Evangelists are not just called to share the gospel of Christ to the world but also bring holistic healing, restoration and signs and wonders through the blood of the Lamb. 

Looking at the pattern, God has also raised up the Apostles to build up and advance the Kingdom of God. They are men and women of God who have gone through places, destroy the darkness and the works of the enemy and bring Christ's glory to the nations. They establish the kingdom work of God where the Lord has placed them.

My question is, what about the Prophets?

I believe God has raised the Prophetic office to activate the people of God for the season. They not only tell what God's great move today is, they also align the body of believers for the great harvest and activate them for ministry. 

They are also called to become watchmen to the nations. They are on the front lines during spiritual warfare and sees in the spiritual and natural realms truths to edify and build up the church.

God's prophetic mandate for Prophets are not just to speak, edify and encourage the whole body of believers but also to declare spiritual victories, identify the works of the enemy and strategically position the church to win the war against the works of the enemy for the end times.

They are like clanging cymbals at times when the church is not listening but is also the trumpet to prepare the way of the Lord. They are people who confirm and affirm the word of God but rebuke those who are leading the flocks astray. 

So, is God raising up a Prophet in the Philippines?

I strongly believe He is. The pattern of Jeremiah's calling to become a prophetic voice in Israel's crucial time gives us a clear picture on how God prepares a Prophet in a nation. 

God has prepared a prophetic destiny so BIG that God has to call the Prophet to arise. This is literally true to the body of believers in the Philippines. With the prophetic move as strong and relevant today as 10 years ago, all the more that God is placing the Prophets in their rightful place. 

But unless the end time prophets accepts the call of God in their lives, the movement will not be fully aligned to this great move of God and can endanger the body of believers for lawlessness and false prophetic move.

But who has the Lord called to this office?

He or she would definitely been a sound believer, a person whom the Lord has set apart for such a great task. 

Someone who also has the guts to go beyond the local denomination and church borders because the Prophet is called as an overseer of an entire body and not just part of it. 

I believe God will call someone who works in the prophetic gifting. They should have strong understanding of the word of God and the prophetic ears to hear what the Lord is saying for the whole body. 

Lastly, God definitely prepared this person for the season in the wilderness; they are usually an unknown bunch of believers that are sometimes misunderstood because they speak the truth harshly at times. But they are also recognized for their strong anointing when they speak God's word through words of prophecy and edification.

Of course, he or she should also be a recognized prophetic voice in the local church, has use the gift of prophecy beyond personal prophecy and has better understanding when God moves in the supernatural. They are also strongly founded in the word of God and can minister the word of God in clarity and unbiased way.

As Bill Hamon once said in his book, God will first prepare the man before the ministry and I'm all the more excited to say that God is indeed doing something great in the midst of the church in the Philippines!

Prophetic Manifestations In The Early Church

THE UPPER ROOM EXPERIENCE IN JERUSALEM:

120 prayering & awaiting the promised Holy Spirit (Luke 24:49) spoke in tongues and prophesied. (Acts 1:8,15: 2:4. Among these was Jesus Christ's Mary, and brothers.

PROPHETIC SCRIPTURAL BASIS FOR PROPHECY IN THE CHURCH IN THE LAST DAYS:

Peter preached that prophetic manifestations would be an earmark of the outpouring of God's Holy Spirit in the last days. This refutes the cessationist theory of some who error in doctrine and say that the "spiritual gifts have ceased." ( Acts 2:17-38)

PHILIP & THE ETHIOPIAN EUNUCH:

Philip sent prophetically by a word from the Lord to the Ethiopian Eunuch. He is specifically told which highway to take. (Acts 8:29-39)

BROTHER ANANIAS FEARS CALMED & HE RECEIVES DIRECTION THROUGH PROPHECY:

Ananias is prophetically sent to Saul of Tarsus by a prophetic word. (Acts 9:10-17)

THE APOSTLE PETER IS SENT TO THE CENTURIAN CORNELIUS:

Peter is sent through a prophetic word to the centurian Cornelius. (Acts 10:44-48, ll:1-18)

CORNELIUS HOUSEHOLD RECEIVES PROMISED THE HOLY SPIRIT:

The household of Cornelius receives the Holy Spirit. (Acts 10:44-48, 11:1-18)

AN EXAMPLE OF PROPHECY FORTELLING FUTURE EVENTS:

God gives a prophetic word to a prophet named Agabus concerning a coming famine. (Acts 11:27-28)

PROPHECY AS A MEANS OF GOD SENDING MISSIONARIES INTO THE FIELD:

God uses an intercessory prayer time as a means of confirming and sending forth a mission team. (Acts 13:1-4)

AN EXAMPLE OF A PROPHETIC JUDGMENT SPOKEN THAT INSTANTLY COMES TO PASS:

God uses the supernatural gift of discernment and prophecy to bring judgment on a magician who attempts to dissuade a convert from the faith. (Acts 13:8-12)

Judas & Silas. (Acts 15:25, 26, 32) Paul and ministry friends are forbidden through prophecy by "the Spirit of Jesus" to go into Bithynia. (Acts 16:6-7)

THE EPHESIAN BELIEVERS AND PROPHECY:

Paul ministers to the Ephesians who believe on Jesus Christ and are baptized into the name of Jesus and immediately "speak in tongues and prophesy." (Acts 19:6)

SERIOUS WARNINGS GIVEN THROUGH THE PROPHETIC WORDS OF FELLOW BELIEVERS:

Prophetic warnings are given to Paul in churches in which he ministers. (Acts 20:22-23)

Prophetic warnings are given to the Apostle Paul at Tyre. (Acts 21:4)

THE MINISTRY OF WOMEN WITH THE GIFT OF PROPHECY:

The evangelist Philip has 4 daughters who all prophesy. (Acts 21:9)

The prophet Agabus enacts a prophetic word for Paul, using a girdle and prophesying "this is the way in which you will be bound if you go to Jerusalem." (Acts 21:10-11)

A Personal Dream and It's Prophetic Interpretation

I'd like to share to you this particular dream and interpretation (by Sis Lyn Browne) given to me last March 2011. The purpose of sharing this here is to encourage and edify my generation that God is doing something great in each of our lives and will complete whatever He has promised beforehand.

Here's the message I sent to Sis. Lyn Browne an hour after I woke-up. 

A Dream I had Just awhile Ago


Hi Sister Lyn,

Greetings! 

I know it may sound weird but the Lord just gave me your name while praying/thinking who can interpret a dream I just had earlier.

I don't want to be too spiritual but I felt that there was a prophetic significance in my dream because the very first thought that came up when I woke up is to understand its interpretation. And I never had this strong conviction before in my dreams.

I wanted to interpret it myself but the Lord gave your name when I prayed of who can probably interpret it's meaning. Maybe you or someone you know with the gifts of dream interpretation can help me out on this.

Here's my dream:

My dream started with me walking along a road (I don't know where it was going) and I noticed that there were young middle eastern men that I didn't recognize as I pass by. I know they were from the middle east but more likely like "Pakistani" or "Egyptian" looking people who are in their 19-20's. The weird thing was they were dressed like those that we watch in biblical movies and I guess they were traveling as well to the opposite direction.

After awhile, I just saw a bunch of kids (around 7 or 8) who were very jolly and one of the kid said if I wanted a guide to where I was going, I said no but I noticed that my wallet was gone.  When I tried to look back,I saw one of the kids getting all my money and when he noticed me staring at him, I went closer to him and he gave it all back(smiling). I was able to get a hold of the kid, carried him and told him I'll bring him somewhere. That's when the time when all of the other kids started running (still in a jolly mood) and the kid didn't have any reaction. I felt I was bringing him to a safer place or someone who can take care of him.

While we were traveling,I know it was a rough road with doors on it and then while passing through the last one, i felt something in my entire body and then saw a lot of black ants crawling in me and the boy. The weird thing was it was not itchy and while we were traveling (still carrying the boy),I didn't even bother to brush them away. While in that situation, I was kind of excited and nervous at the same time and was hurrying up to where I was going.

And then I woke up with this funny feeling of brushing them off and that's when I felt the Lord's prompting for interpretation. I hope you can shed light on this dream of mine,whether it's inter-connected or anything. I just felt that this dream had a meaning to something I need/will do in the very near future. In Christ,

Vir,

Yes, I do dream interpretation. I am honored the Lord gave you my name. Here is what the Lord is showing me. As with all prophetic gifting please check it out in the word of God as well as confirmation from those around you and what your own life circumstances are.

A road always means travel. Since you did not know where you were going the Lord would say to you, “I AM taking you on a road you have not traveled before and you will have to walk by faith.” Please note the I AM. That is the name for God and more specifically translated I, I AM. So God is taking you on a road you have not traveled before, but you were not concerned about being lost, but only with where you are.

The Biblical figures you were seeing I believe represent a Pharisee and Saducee. The Religious system. We all can become legalist and I believe God wants you to discern the leadership in the body of Christ, who allow the law to rule rather than Grace. God is saying come up higher for “I have fulfilled the law” and you must walk in my Grace. James 1:25 But the one who looks into the perfect law, the law of liberty, and perseveres, being no hearer who forgets but a doer who acts, he will be blessed in his doing. 

The religious system adds to what it takes to be saved. They are trying to clean a fish before it is caught.

For God would say to you, it is not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us. 

There are leaders over you that are younger than you who will try and add works to your walk. Discern carefully. Do not judge them but love them by my grace says God. The children are those God has placed in your path to disciple. They are much like the 10 lepers. Only one came back. God is calling you to raise up leadership. To bring those tested by temptation will come to you. As you discern true repentance, you will discipline and raise up healthy leadership. Those who know their sin and confess it , you will carry into maturity, but only a select few. The others will continue to play games with God. God is calling over ten, but is now calling you to be over 50. That isn’t exact numbers but represents increase in influence.

There will be many doors to walk through. Some doors will be those of the young boy, for he will have many temptations to leave the mentoring process. At times he will disappointment you, but hold steady, for his reaction will remind you of issues in your own life that must be dealt with. 

Ants represent workers. Many who are good and will help you carry the load, but some will be only a distraction. You will keep walking and doing what Father God has called you to do. Raise up leadership from the younger generation. The rough road and doors will come to strengthen you and give you exact direction where to walk.

As you walked on the road you began to sense where you were headed and God began to anoint you in areas of ministry that had not been strong in in the past. There was an excitement because you were walking in a new anointing and were effective, but nervous because you knew without the anointing the task would be too large.

A Quick Post About A Book, A Dream and The Blog!

I've been reading Haavard & Carina Sand's Forerunners: The Emerging Messengers in the Last Days. It has a strong and yet simple message of what God is doing for the past ten years. 

I'm still on the 106th page and I'm more excited on the things shared through the book. It's a fresh revelation that the year 1980's (I was born in 1983) has a strong prophetic calling for the end time harvest. I have received this in my heart that even before the foundation of the world, God has placed a specific call for me to do and prepare the way of the Lord.


Excited to Receive What Has Been Promised

I'm also amazed to see that it's not only me (and I believe, there's more of us out there) who has that deep passion to ignite and prepare a generation for Christ's second coming. Looking back through the years as I browse my previous posts since 2006 strongly confirms my calling and of what God has been doing to many of the unseen voices of these days. 


That indeed, God is stirring up people from my generation, aligning them to the move of the season and activating the whole body of believers for the harvest that has come.

Another thing that amazes me is the message the authors are sharing is the same message that God has placed in my heart. It is indeed a strong indication of what God has told me through his words and through the words of prophecies for me by people I highly respect.

Being Part of An Emerging Movement

I'm also blessed to have mentors who walk and move in the same move of the season. They have taught me so much and trained me to minister in our local churches and beyond the four walls of the church. Indeed, I have captured the vision of using my gifts to minister and edify the whole body of believers across denominational and local barriers. 

As what my senior pastor has shared last night, there is an emerging ministry in this season wherein a strong anointing will be set in course for those who will be faithful in this season. I'd like to share to you excerpts of the things she shared and some emphasis on how they will work for such great harvest:

• The Davidic Anointing - men and women of God who are both warriors & worshipers. They will have the heart to worship our King and will battle in the spiritual realms the principalities and powers of this world, and will bring forth His plans to the nations. 
• The Daniel Anointing - people of God who does not compromise their faith for the sake of promotions and will stands as advisers of Kings and authorities. They will make influence national issues and will bring the message of God's glory through the continents of the earth because of such faith. 
• The Elijah's of the season - who will have the commanding authorities recognized with the power and spirit to overcome the world structure, bring down the walls of idolatry and paganism and prepare the way of the Lord!
• The Joseph Anointing - who has the spirit of purity in them and will show the glory of our God to the nations through the influence they will have in their house, their work and even in the nations of the world. They will have the wisdom and knowledge to strategies and will bear much fruit in the harvest field.

Revamping The Blog and Declarations

It's been quite awhile now that I've updated this blog. Things written here are very close to my heart as the Lord has shared these to me through my experiences and studying of His word, the bible.

You probably noticed that the latest posts were a couple of months (or even years ago) mainly because I thought it's hard moderating such a blog and I was afraid. Afraid that people would think of me as a false prophet and even doubted for awhile especially when tribulation came.

But rest assured that I'm still ministering through my gifts of teaching and personal prophecy. I've also seen the Lord's hands in opportunities wherein I share to the whole body of believers.

Indeed, these are exciting times and revamping this blog would mean so much to me. Since the Lord has prompted me lately to hone my gifts more in these area, there needs to be a constant place where I can write/talk about it without getting that questionable or trivial faces. 

As an ending, I'd like to share to you the latest words from the Lord from our church, which is entirely part of the whole body of believers. Given that thought, I believe the words go beyond denominational barriers and can both encourage and stir us up to do more for him and for His kingdom.

"The glory of the former house (things that the church did of long ago) has passed and the glory of the new house (the arising apostolic-prophetic church) will be greater than the former one. The wine skin (referring to the Holy Spirit) has been poured  out and the new wine is flowing (manifestation of the spiritual giftings in the church) and the wine skin is renewed..."
