"to be a covenant for the people, to restore the land and to re-assign desolate inheritances, to say to the captives,'come out' and to those in darkness,'be free!" (Isaiah 49:8-9)
this third task needs space to be able for us to grasp how wide and how deep this call is. we as a generation full of dissapointements and in some degree, purposeless. we are more inclined to make matters worst in every scenario. but God is changing all things new. as he is making a new move for our generation, we are in the spirit being freed from every sin and shame that life has given us. he is clothing us with the righteousness that comes from his son, Jesus Christ and in full blast- He is giving us the nature of being sons in the kingdom, we have a destiny to pursue, a calling to heed on and the most exciting truth is that we are running the race set before us with aim, we beat and discipline ourselves with the goal of winning the prize set before every believer on earth to achieve when we do well with the life our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ has given us.
we are freed from the mentality of society's curse in our generation. we have been given purpose and freedom that only sons and daughters of God can have when we identify ourselves as His' and not of this world.we are being called to shout in the streets that "we are free from generational sin" and that we are now "the voice in the wilderness shouting repentance for the salvation of God draws near..."
how then can we achive such purpose?
i believe that Paul's advise is being renewed in our generation. we are to not "let anyone look down on you (we) because you (our generation)are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity..." (1 Timothy 4:12) with this truth in mind, that's how we are to set people free from the captivity of self-deception, sin and corruption in this time. we are set to be examples of righteousness, of righteous living and interaction with the people we are with and with the socity as a whole.
Change always starts inside the church, God can never change the people outside when we ourselves and our testimony is marred with defeat, sin and shame. we can never come in the strongholds of the enemy when we are bounded by it. we can never claim freedom when we are under the curse of sin (which is death) that makes our spiritual life and journey dry and dead.
God is calling out Exekiels' who will prophesy on these dry bones (the body of believers which includes our generation) to come alive, rattle and let their presence be known...and in full breathe of life will be given to those who will respond to the voice of the Lord.
We are being challenge to fulfill our mandate and claim our inheritance and take the destiny call for our generation. we are called to be city-takers and worldchangers. we are to shout in the streets " 'come out' and to those in darkness,'be free!" for that is our destiny and that is what we are to do when God will start his move, we are to follow in the footsteps of our King and advance and take the city and nation for him and for the glory of our father...surely, the glory of the former house will be outshine of this new move of God! Amen!
