The Call To The Wild - Part 1

A voice of one calling: "In the wilderness prepare the way for the LORD; make straight in the desert a highway for our God.- Isaiah 40:3

The wilderness season is not a season of drought but of pruning

Many prophetic voices today speaks about a remnant being prepared by the Lord in the wilderness. It might sound weird why the Lord would place them there but its a season wherein the mouthpiece of God is pruned, cultivated in His words and learn to rely and trust God even when the odds are there.

The process of pruning and aligning these prophetic voices is important. For one, God can only use a voice that distinctly ushers in hope. Second, the truth (of God's kairos word) through his mouthpiece will set people free. Third, prophetic voices brings life and fruit in due season. But more importantly, the testimony of Jesus (our Lord) is the spirit of prophecy.

They are a company of people who aligns the the bride of Christ, straighten our acts and usher in a new season. Unless we allow the molding from the Holy Spirit can we truly move from a season of hiding to a season of fruitfulness, destiny and calling.

With a new season coming up, how do we as Forerunners pave the way of the Lord? Do we have what it takes to bring in the remnant from one season to the other? More importantly, what does it take to become the voice the prophet Isaiah spoke about almost two thousand years ago, embodied by the ministry of John the Baptist and prophesied as part of Christ's second coming?

I believe that Forerunners are now coming into fullness and it's call to the wild is the call to prepare inwardly and balance our emotions, our passion and experience the grace and favor from the Lord.  It is also a season of momentary retreat to recharge, rejuvenate and restructure ourselves to align ourselves with God's mighty plans and purposes.

Indeed, God's call in this season is for the brave and disciplined -

For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline. - 2 Timothy 1:7

Only those who have the heart to be used by God can truly walk in his destiny. Stories of biblical heroes speaks about men and women who defied their circumstances and obeyed God, brought in change by standing to what is right and true.

The Holy Spirit at work within us gives us power to defy the odds. Odds created by difficult circumstances, sins of the past or even the fear of the future. These odds doesn't pull us down but pushes us to do more, pray more and believe in our God whose able to do more for us, not because of our own strength and wisdom but because He promised it in His word, the bible.

It's love that drives us crazy. I mean, holy crazy - in making sure that because of his great love for us, we respond rightly by honoring his call for this season. We fear not because His "perfect love casts out all our fears" 1 John 4:18

Lastly, self-discipline allows us to be aligned, perfectly inter-twined by the wisdom from heaven through the bible. These are people who has the guts to say "no" and "yes" at the right time and perfectly walk in fullness as God intends us to do.

More importantly, walking in our destiny requires more than our passion, more than what we ought or thought we know but entirely believing that everything we do will one day bring fruit and in due season, brings wisdom and understanding to move and walk in this new season. This is discipline - continuously doing God's required tasks for us even when we haven't seen the end result. And yet, we all know that the end result will always be good.
